U.S. Rubber Pavilion

U.S. Rubber had a tire shaped Ferris Wheel. The Transportation Pavilion's Moon Dome is on the right.

U.S. Rubber exhibit wasn't actually a pavilion, although it did feature several interesting displays of its products at the entrance of its 80 foot diameter Ferris wheel like ride that resembled the rim of a giant whitewall tire. Twenty-four barrel-shaped gondolas, each carrying four passengers, moved around the circumference of the wheel and at its top offered a spectacular view of the fairgrounds. The tire was floodlight at night at charged 25 cents.

A high view of the U.S. Rubber wheel.
