Switzerland Pavilion

Switzerland's exhibits were housed in buildings reminiscent of Alpine chalets. Its exhibit area was sponsored by Switzerland's industries. A tourist information center and restaurant were also part of the complex.

The "Time Center" near the entrance, featured a display of the controls that regulated the official clocks at the Fair's ten clock towers. The master clock was so accurate that it could measure irregularities in the Earth's rotation. Visitors were invited to take pictures in front of the clock to make a permanent time record of their visit.

Three of its buildings housed a $2,000,000 display of watches. In the hall connecting the watchmaker's exhibits and the restaurant were exhibits of chocolates and cheeses that were for sale.
