Maryland Pavilion

Maryland's traditional brick faced building housed exhibits on the ground floor and a restaurant on its upper level. Inside the story of the Battle of Fort McHenry (outside Baltimore) and Francis Scott Key writing the Star Spangled Banner in 1812 was presented in a 11 minute movie. A replica of the 15 star flag was on display.

A recreation of a long, wooden fisherman's wharf featured stands selling crab cakes, steamed clams, and souvenirs. Exhibits nearby, models of ships that brought Maryland's first settlers in 1634, showed its historical heritage. There were also photographs of the Chesapeake Bay and the bustling port of Baltimore.
