Chunky Candy

Chunky had a transparent candy factory. Its two glass walled buildings, connected by a cooling tunnel enabled visitors to watch candy bars being made in an almost completely automated process. The manufacturing process was deliberately slowed down to make every step understandable. Candy bars were produced, cooled, wrapped and boxed, and available for purchase.

The pavilion also had a playground of 13 plastic abstract sculptures ranging from two to fourteen feet high for children to climb on. As an extra surprise for the youngsters, when the statues were viewed through special peepholes, they aligned to form recognizable objects - a duck, a man standing on his head, a giraffe, etc.
