American Express Pavilion

The American Express pavilion served as both a place for visitors to exchange foreign currency and as an exhibit area. Visitors were often surprised on encountering a money tree in its courtyard where a million dollars worth of real currency from many nations grew on its branches.

The American Express pavilion featured a money tree with $1,000,000 worth of foreign currency.

American Express also displayed the official model of the World's Fair which measured 54 x 21 feet. As exhibits were pointed out, the model's lighting changed from day to night, then back again.
